A plain service agreement between a service provider (a freelancer, consultant or small business) and a client: what the work is, when it starts, the fee, when invoices are due, and who owns the finished work.
It covers independent contractor status, confidentiality, a limit on liability and ending the agreement with 14 days’ notice. For large or complex projects, add a detailed statement of work, or ask a lawyer to review it.
