How to edit a PDF
Open your file
Choose a PDF. A Word document or a photo works too: it's turned into a PDF first.
Make your changes
Click a line to change its text, or use the tools to add text, signatures, images, shapes, notes and highlights.
Download it
Click Done to download the new PDF. With an account you can also send it for signature or keep it in your documents.
What you can do with Edit PDF
Change the existing text
Click any line of text in the PDF and type. The new text matches the size and color of the old.
Fill in forms
Type straight into a PDF's form fields, tick boxes and pick from lists.
Redact for real
Black out names, numbers and addresses. Redacted text is removed from the file, not just covered.
Organize pages
Reorder, turn, copy and remove pages, add blank ones, or combine several files into one PDF.
Watermark and page numbers
Add a DRAFT or CONFIDENTIAL watermark and number every page, in the style you choose.
Works on your phone
The editor works in any modern browser, on a computer, tablet or phone.
Questions about Edit PDF
Is Dokkiman's PDF editor free?
Yes. You can edit and download PDFs without an account. A free account adds a Document Manager and more daily use; paid plans add more.
Can I change the text that's already in a PDF?
Yes. Choose Edit text and click a line to change it. A scanned PDF is a picture of text, so it has no text to change: use White-out and Add text instead.
What's the difference between white-out and redact?
White-out covers something with white, but what's underneath stays in the file. Redact removes the text and images underneath when you save, so they can't be recovered.
Do you keep my files?
No. Your file is edited and sent straight back to you. It's only kept if you choose Save to Document Manager.
Can I edit a Word document or a photo?
Yes. Word documents (.docx) and photos (JPG, PNG or WebP) are turned into a PDF when you open them, so you can edit them like any other PDF.
