Which should you choose?
Choose Dokkiman if
- You send a handful of contracts, leases or offer letters a month and don't want to pay per user
- You want signers to be able to ask AI what the document means before they sign
- Your signers aren't technical and sign on their phone
- You also need to edit, compress or convert PDFs
Choose DocuSign if
- Your company requires SOC 2, HIPAA or similar certifications
- You need templates, bulk sending, team roles or integrations with other software
- You need stronger signer identity checks, like text-message codes or ID verification
Questions
Is Dokkiman a free DocuSign alternative?
Signing your own documents is free, and there's a free 30-day trial of everything, including sending for signature. After the trial, sending documents for others to sign starts on Basic, at $1.99 a month for 10 documents.
Are Dokkiman signatures as legally binding as DocuSign's?
For most contracts in the US, yes: both rely on the ESIGN Act and UETA, and both give you an audit certificate. DocuSign offers stronger identity checks and certifications, which some industries require.
Can I move from DocuSign to Dokkiman?
Yes. Download your signed documents from DocuSign and upload them to Dokkiman's Document Manager. New documents can be sent from Dokkiman straight away.
